PASCH SCHOOL (Partner Schulen Der Zukunft)

Çakabey Private Schools received a Pasch School plaque at a ceremony which was attended by German Consul General on April 14th, 2010. Çakabey Private Schools was the fourteenth school to be awarded this honor given by the German Government. This program reaches a network of 1000 schools worldwide, allowing students to learn and use German at a very high level.  Just as importantly it also provides a cultural exchange between Germany and other countries.
Within months of being accepted as a Pasch School, Çakabey Private Schools introduced many German teachers to their students and started educational workshops. In summer 2010, two students from Çakabey Private Schools attended a free three-week language camp in Germany. Workshops for teachers will also be held in Germany this following year. Many activities and studies are being done in order to achieve this goal.

What is the Study of Pasch ‘Schools: Future Partners’ ?
The German Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Frank- Walter Steinmeier is responsible for starting ‘Schools: Future Partners’. This program aims to create a worldwide network that includes a minimum of 1000 schools with the purpose of arousing interest in modern Germany and German society amongst young people. A financial source of 45 million Euro was budgeted for this program in 2008. This program has been coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and it has been put in practice by the Study Abroad Education Center, the Goethe Institute, the Pedagogical Exchange Service of Cultural Ministers Council and the German Academic Exchange Service. According to an agreement signed by MEB members, 20 public and private schools will be chosen as Pasch Schools within Turkey.
The network of German schools and language schools that provide German Language Certificates outside of Germany has been made more accessible. This program contributes to the ability of attaining a permanent understanding for both teachers and students thus, increasing the necessary background of young people for a post graduate education and for their future jobs.

What does Goethe Institute provide for schools?
The Goethe Institute supports schools both within Germany and outside of Germany by providing multimedia lesson tools, materials about the country, educational workshops and trainings, student exchange programs, sister school programs and consultants for teachers and students. The in-service training for teachers helps them to increase the quality of their German lessons.

What are the Advantages for Students?
Pasch (Partner Schule der Zukunft) allows partner school students to join summer camps, projects and competitions both in their country and outside, introducing them to German language and culture at an early age. Pasch also provides opportunities to apply for college scholarships, for those students with a high level of German.
