It is located about 15 kilometers away from the İzmir Karşıyaka district and 10 kilometers from Mavişehir. With the newly built highway, travelling from points of the city such as Hatay, Buca or Bornova, it takes about 15-25 minutes.

It is situated in a natural rural setting adjascent to the Bird Paradise. The Sasalı Natural Life Park, one of the biggest in Europe, is located directly across the Çakabey campus.
