YEARLY PROJECTS

At Çakabey Private Schools one of the most valuable ways to achieve the ‘student model’ is the yearly projects. Project topics are prepared by the teachers and chosen by the students. The students’ wishes are also considered if they want to add a new topic aside from the topics that are already offered. Students form a project group at the beginning of the term. The group includes a minimum of three or a maximum of five students.
Students are expected to research using the library, the internet, interviews with private and public institutions and preofessionals. Students can present their projects in the form of drama, exhibition, short film, documentary and or other creative format.

During the seven month study period, combining the above, the students make oral and written presentations. By turning the projects into thesis, the students help scientific research develop so that future generations can use this knowledge. For this reason, thesis writing rules that are used at the universities are taught from elementary school.

Project presentation dates are announced on the website every year and all parents are welcome to watch the presentations. Middle school projects are presented in the technology classes, high school projects are presented in the conference hall with the entire student body, teachers and administration in attendance. Oral evaluation is done by the students, teachers and administration and evaluation forms are handed out after the presentations.

Yearly Project groups participate in competitions in the city and around the country. Students demonstrate their knowledge and talents by making an oral presentation in front of academic councils. Projects that received many awards in national and international competitions have been utilized by agricultural and fumigation sectors and enabled new work methodologies to be put into practice.

*Students are required to participate in the projects every year starting from the fourth grade (excluding the eighth and twelfth grades).
